Originally posted by MxWhiteKnight:To be honest I found them *kinda* fun only because platforming is barely used outside of the 3 ghost fight and the final boss. I would describe the level design of these challenges to be far more hostile to the player and calling them crappy is the least hostile thing I can think of in describing them. I'd rather take puzzles, or anything else, reusing enemies from the main game with 1 unique boss to this, because any of those are closer to metroidvania games than platforming challenges ever will be.Īlso, 'crappy levels' = hostile? you're serious? It would've been more work which is probably why they didn't do it because of whatever understanding they had and I guess that would make sense, because this looks like it was never meant to be much from how little is going on in these levels and how many existing assets are reused, but, I still don't like what they ended up doing. If they made just 1 level in the style of Blasphemous, that would've made this mini dlc a 10/10 for me.
MIRIAM BLASPHEMOUS HOW TO
I don't even know how to start expressing how I feel, because this is not even close to Blasphemous's strongest suit as a game, it's just such a missed opportunity that I can't help feeling disappointed. if these were levels in a game like Super Meat Boy or Celeste, I would give them props for that, because those games are primarily designed around platforming, but seeing Blasphemous use a Bloodstained crossover, for platforming challenges. Why so hostile about something you didn't have to pay for and didn't have to play? I didn't feel like completing them either but I'm glad they're there for some extra challenge. They're also free and they're also optional.
